St Just Archive
KOVSKRIFVA DRE LANNUST
The establishment of a local heritage centre is at the heart of the club’s development plans. St Just will have its own dedicated archive to reflect and celebrate the past, and capture today’s memories for future generations.
The area has a long and fascinating history. People have lived here since pre historic times. They were converted to Christianity by the Celtic saints, and for centuries made a living by mining, farming and fishing.
A unique community developed, strong, independent and enterprising. That spirit lives on today and the town now embraces tourism and has a thriving creative sector.
The archive will be a trusted depository for a collection relating to the people, places and events which have created this heritage. It will also embrace modern technology to capture tomorrow’s archive materials.
The club’s heritage centre will welcome visitors from around the world many of whom can trace their ancestry to St Just. People from across the road, or across the ocean, will be able to discover more about our fascinating local history and share their stories.
