Seasons Greetings from the Lafrowda Club
It’s been quite a year at the Lafrowda Club, and our autumn season rounded it off in style. We’ve showcased local talent alongside high profile entertainers from further afield, helping to build our reputation as a very special venue.
We introduced regular comedy nights, and enjoyed sell-out music from the likes of Daisy Rickman, SILENZIO and the Night, Nell Davies and Lifter.
In 2026 there’ll be more comedy, original music, film nights and live theatre alongside various heritage talks and events as our archive project grows. We’ll continue to work with other local community organisations and, no doubt, there’ll be some surprises.
The new year should also see the club become a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation). Individual trustees will no longer carry financial liability for the building, paving the way for our future development.
None of this could be achieved without our wonderful volunteers.
From committee members to the people who do the washing-up, we have an amazing network of willing hands. Alongside them the tenants who rent our workspace also make a valuable contribution to our running costs. You are all a credit to the St Just community.
Thank you to everyone who has been involved in 2025
and
Happy Christmas from the Lafrowda Club
